Building robots that
see, move, and reason.

Junior studying Robotics and Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon. I design and implement perception, planning, and embedded systems for robot software.

Projects

Lunabotics · Controls

CMU Moon Miners

Software Controls Lead on CMU's NASA Lunabotics team, an 80-person team unified in goal of building an autonomous lunar excavation rover. I lead a 20-person software subteam, from GitHub workflows and deadlines to the ROS 2 stack that wires high-level planning down to simulated motor control. We were the first rookie team in Lunabotics history to score autonomous points. I have been integrating LiDAR-based SLAM for obstacle detection and navigation.

Research · Teleoperation

Momentum Robotics Lab

Research assistant on COSTAR, a long-range teleoperation system for multiple 7-DoF arms. I built modular interfaces for iOS motion controls, a web UI, and a GELLO controller, and ran the distributed stack with Zenoh and Docker so other labs could use it. Control software and fail-safes were prototyped in MuJoCo/Robosuite before hardware. I collaborated with a six-person lab team on a paper for IROS 2026.

Personal · Computer Vision

Magic Mirror Optical Illusion

A personal summer project that was mostly an exercise in pinhole camera mathematics, tracking your eyes to make a pseudo-3D effect on a normal screen. I created this as a base for a future Raspberry Pi-based magic mirror design with lifestyle widgets with a 3D background effect.

Experience

Research, teaching, and club work alongside the projects above.

Research · Agricultural robotics

Kantor Lab @ CMU

Research Assistant · Jun 2026–Present

Collecting and curating field datasets, 3D scans, and point clouds of grape clusters used to train machine learning models for autonomous harvesting. The work supports perception and picking algorithms with real vineyard examples, not just lab data.

Teaching · Computer vision

16-385 Computer Vision

Teaching Assistant · Aug 2026–Present

Course staff for CMU's Computer Vision class. I help students through office hours and feedback on image processing, feature detection, RANSAC, and geometric vision.

Research · Mobile / Bluetooth

CREATE Lab @ CMU

Research Assistant · Feb 2025–May 2025

Built Android UIs in Jetpack Compose that react to Bluetooth devices, and refactored Kotlin apps that interface with children's toys. Deployed those interfaces in Pittsburgh-area learning centers to gather user feedback.

Club · Simulation

CMU RoboClub

Member · Sep 2024–Present

Built simulation adapters that redirect ROS components into Gazebo for hardware-free testing, and created dynamic quadruped models to prototype control code.

About

I'm a junior in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Robotics with a minor in Machine Learning. I care about perception, motion planning, and getting robot software onto real platforms, from lunar excavation to vineyard harvesting.

Coursework includes Computer Vision, Robot Planning Techniques, Feedback & Control, Intelligent Robot Systems, and Robot Kinematics.

Outside of class I lead software for Moon Miners, TA Computer Vision, and work in the Kantor Lab, and rock climb on occasion.
